An interview with Nashville Predators GM David Poile reveals the NHL schedule's release date.

There were reports that the 2012-13 NHL schedule would be released Tuesday, though we had gotten significant indications from the league that this would not be the case.

ESPN's Scott Burnside, however, reported that the new slate would come out "later this week." It appears that an interview with Nashville Predators GM David Poile that was quoted by Fox Sports' John Manasso has provided the answer to when -- the 2012-13 schedule will come out on Thursday. Poile referred to it in a sort of off-hand manner, though:

"I'm pretty sure they're working on a schedule next year," he said. "It's coming out on Thursday and I know it says the Predators will play 82 games."

So there you have it. We'll know when and where the Predators and 29 other teams will be from October 2012 through April 2013 in just two days' time.
