The NHL released its entire schedule on Thursday, while announcing three nationally televised games in the season's first two days.
If there is an NHL season in 2012-13, it's going to begin on Oct. 11 with a series of four games, two of which will be televised nationally in the United States. The NHL released the entire regular season schedule on Thursday, while simultaneously announcing which games will be televised in the season's opening week.
Opening night will feature a doubleheader on NBC Sports Network. In the early game, the Boston Bruins visit the Philadelphia Flyers. That's followed by the St. Louis Blues going away to face the Colorado Avalanche in the late game. The opening night of the season also features two other games, both of which will feature Canadian teams against each other, and those games will be broadcast nationally in Canada on CBC. The Montreal Canadiens host the Ottawa Senators in the early game, followed by a matchup between the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks.
One day later, the defending Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings will have the stage all to themselves in a game on NBC Sports Network against the New York Rangers.
You can find the entire 82-game schedule for each team at NHL.com.
