Darryl Sutter is one win away from a Stanley Cup with the Los Angeles Kings, and barring a New Jersey miracle, he'll earn his first ring since breaking into the NHL as a player in the late 1970s. It's amazing to think that just six months ago he was out on his massive Viking, Alb. farm, an unemployed hockey man.
In fact, on the day Dean Lombardi called him to offer the Kings coaching job back in December, Sutter was out in the barn.
Darryl Sutter says he was in the barn when he was offered #kings coaching job: "I wasn't shovelling shit but I had that day."— Chris Johnston (@reporterchris) June 5, 2012
Let's just hope he doesn't bring the Stanley Cup near the shit pile this summer.
