Bryce Salvador has signed a three-year deal with the New Jersey Devils.

The New Jersey Devils have signed defenseman Bryce Salvador to a three-year contract worth $9.5 million, according to a report from TSN. The deal hits the salary cap at $3.16 million per season.

Salvador, 36, has played with the Devils since 2007. The defenseman, known for his stay-at-home, physical style of defense, scored nine points in 82 regular season games. He was a prized catch on defense in a relatively weak free agent pool, and he collected offers from several teams before opting to head back to New Jersey.

Salvador was a No. 4 defenseman for the Devils last season and performed well during their run to the Eastern Conference title in the postseason. The team ultimately lost in the Stanley Cup Finals to the Los Angeles Kings, but Salvador stepped out of his typical defensive shell, scoring 14 points in 24 playoff games.
