Even at 36, Shane Doan is drawing plenty of interest from around the NHL.
Shane Doan isn't one of the most coveted NHL free agents on the market, but the winger is certainly not without his suitors. Monday brought reports of four NHL teams showing interest in Doan, and a writer covering a fifth team expressing hope Doan will come to town.
Puck Daddy notes that Doan's agent said Doan has spoken to the Canucks. Pensburgh notes that Doan has talked to the Penguins. SB Nation Detroit has the report of Doan talking to the Red Wings. And the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has Doan talking to the Blues.
And, in another note from Puck Daddy, the Denver Post suggests that the Avalanche could and should go after Doan, calling him one of the better power forwards currently in the league, despite his age (36).
Where will Doan play next year? Tune in tomorrow, when he gets linked to the rest of the NHL, to find out!
