The Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks will be looking for their first wins of the season on Wednesday night.

The Vancouver Canucks (0-1-1) will host the Calgary Flames (0-2-0) in a Northwest Division matchup on Wednesday night.

Both teams will be entering the contest searching for their first win of the 2013 regular season. In the case of Calgary, the team will be searching for its first points of the year.

The Flames opened with consecutive games at home, the first of which was a 4-1 loss at the hands of the San Jose Sharks. The next night, the team dropped a back-and-forth affair with the Anaheim Ducks by a final score of 5-4.

Heading into Wednesday night, Curtis Glencross leads the Flames in scoring with three points and is tied with Lee Stempniak for the team lead with two goals.

Vancouver's opening schedule mirrored Calgary, as the Canucks also opened the season with consecutive games at home. Opening on Saturday night against Anaheim, the Cory Schneider era got off to a rocky start when he allowed five goals on 14 shots and was pulled after a little under 27 minutes of work.

The Canucks ultimately lost the game by a final score of 7-3.

On Sunday, Roberto Luongo got the start against the up-start Edmonton Oilers and backed the Canucks to a 3-2 shootout loss. Despite being pulled and Luongo starting on Sunday, it has already been announced that Schneider will be starting against Calgary.

Daniel Sedin and Alexander Edler are tied for the team lead with three points, while Edler leads in goals with two.

Wednesday night's game is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. ET and will be broadcast in Canada on Sportsnet West and Sportsnet Pacific.
