Matt Moulson's debut with the Buffalo Sabres is going quite well.
For Matt Moulson, anyway.
After opening the scoring for Buffalo in the first period, Moulson was doing his thing in front of the net once again in the second period, banging in a rebound -- while falling to the ice -- to beat Kari Lehtonen for his second goal of the net, bringing the Sabres to within one goal of the Dallas Stars.
So this is pretty much the best possible result for the Sabres at this point, right? Moulson scores a lot of goals and boosts his trade value (he is an unrestricted free agent following this season -- will he re-sign in Buffalo?) while the Sabres continue to lose and solidify their spot for a much-needed top draft pick.
Yeah. That seems about right.
