Phoenix Coyotes goalie Mike Smith seems to be the highly competitive type. He also seems to have a short fuse during the season and is one of the goalies around the league that isn't going to take any crap around his crease.
Sometimes it gets him trouble, as it did in the third period on Thursday night against Chicago.
Just as Phoenix was about to get a power play thanks to Andrew Shaw's goaltender interference penalty, Smith decided to do this and even things up.
There is some history between these two. It was during the 2011-12 playoffs that Shaw was suspended three games for charging Smith behind the net in the Western Conference Quarterfinals, a series that Phoenix won in six games.
