Five NHL questions: Cam Ward returns against Bruins

Abelimages

A daily feature that asks the five biggest questions about today's NHL action. Will they be answered? (That doesn't count as one of the five questions.)

1. How will Cam Ward fare in his return?

You haven't seen a tweet like this since the morning of Oct. 24, as Ward sustained a lower-body injury against the Minnesota Wild later that night. Carolina is hosting the Boston Bruins on Monday night and have played well at home, registering nine points in their last six games in front of the Hurricane faithful. Will that continue with Ward in net?

2. Will the Boston Bruins pull to .500 against the Metropolitan Division?

The Met is arguably the weakest division in the NHL, yet the Bruins have struggled against the grouping. In five games against Metropolitan Division opponents, the Bruins have a 2-3-0 record with both wins coming against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Monday night's contest with Carolina will be the first meeting between the clubs this season.

3. Will the Anaheim Ducks record a point against the Pittsburgh Penguins?

While Boston has struggled against the Met, the Ducks have not. In five games against the grouping, the Ducks have recorded nine of ten possible points. The club will attempt to make it 11 of 12 points on Monday night.

4. Will the Pittsburgh Penguins regain the Metropolitan Division lead?

Man, really obsessed with the Met today...

Anyway, Pittsburgh is a point shy of the division lead and can regain the top spot with a single point.

5. Will the Calgary Flames end their losing streak?

The Flames have not recorded a win in six games. While the club managed to register a point against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday, the club has remained at six wins for 15 days. Will they record win No. 7 on Monday night?
