Andrej Sekera doesn't score many goals, but he had a beauty on Thursday night in Detroit.

Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Andrej Sekera does not score many goals. He entered play on Thursday with just 19 in 360 career games and has never scored more than four in a season.

Well, he scored his third of the season in the second period against the Detroit Red Wings and it was a beauty of a goal as he joined the rush and turned Red Wings forward Todd Bertuzzi into a traffic cone.

And that is why Todd Bertuzzi is not a defenseman.

That goal tied the game for Carolina as it erased a 2-0 deficit in the second period.
