The NHL has already suspended nine players in the month of December, and Tuesday night provided even more work for the department of player safety.
Schenn did not return to the game with what the Flyers are simply calling an "upper body injury."
Along with the penalty for charging and the game misconduct, Wilson also had to fight Nicklas Grossmann after delivering the hit. But where the Flyers really made it hurt was on the ensuing power play when they scored two goals on Braden Holtby to snap a 2-2 tie.
It appeared that Schenn turned into the hit a little, but that's still a dangerous play by Wilson and a definite charging penalty.
Now it's in the hands of the NHL.
