Leafs vs. Flyers: Korbinian Holzer ejected for hit on Tye McGinn

Holzer received a five-minute major and a game misconduct for the hit.

The Maple Leafs are quickly earning a reputation for their physicality this year. If they're not careful they might end up with a reputation for dirty hockey.

A few days after Mikhail Grabovski was accused of biting Max Pacioretty and Colton Orr came dangerously close to landing a knee-on-knee hit on Tomas Plekanec, Korbinian Holzer has been ejected from the game for a questionable hit in the second period.

As Tye McGinn skated behind the net after a dump-in, Holzer skated up right behind him and shoved him headfirst into the boards. McGinn's face hit the boards with enough force to shake the glass, but luckily he was able to get up with no visible damage other than a bloody mouth. McGinn didn't have possession of the puck at the time. Holzer was given a five-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct, a few days after he was booked for roughing against the Canadiens.
