Maple Leafs vs. Hurricanes: Colton Orr fights Kevin Westgarth

Colton Orr choo-choo-chooses Kevin Westgarth...to fight!

Very early in the first period of the Toronto-Carolina game, Kevin Westgarth and Colton Orr celebrated the most romantic night of the year by trying to knock each other unconscious.

Where's your Valentine's Day spirit, fellas?

Both of these two are established fighters, Westgarth having more than 30 fights in his NHL career and Colton Orr having too many to count.

Carolina added Westgarth earlier this season in a trade with the Los Angeles Kings in what many saw as a move to add toughness to the team. He handled this bout with Orr well enough, but it's going to take a few more fights like this before I can think of Kevin Westgarth without thinking of this fight:

That's bloodthirsty sasquatch John Scott pounding Westgarth half to death against the glass. I've never seen a player look more terrified in a fight, have you?

Much better job tonight, Kevin.

Happy Valentine's Day.
