It will mark the third of five meetings between the teams this season.
Entering Friday night, each club has earned a win in the previous two meetings between the clubs.
Buffalo won the first meeting after scoring four third period goals to cement a 7-4 final score. Thomas Vanek earned a hat trick in the effort, while Bruins forward Brad Marchand scored two goals in the first period. Ryan Miller earned the win for the Sabres, while Tuukka Rask was pegged for the loss after allowing six goals on 31 shots.
Boston exacted revenge during their second meeting when the club held the Sabres to a single goal in a 3-1 victory.
The Sabres will be entering Friday night on a two-game losing streak and have lost five of the seven games they have played in February.
Boston will come into the game off a 4-3 shootout loss to the New York Rangers. However, the team has registered points in their last four consecutive games and has earned at least one point in every game this season with the exception of the 7-4 loss against Buffalo.
Friday night's game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., ET and will be televised on NESN and MSG-Buffalo.
