Jets vs. Penguins: Burmistrov shoots puck into stands

Such a sweet move with such little payoff.

When it comes to scoring, Alexander Burmistrov has some of the slickest hands in hockey. Let's not forget that he scored one of the best goals of the season when he was a rookie.

He very nearly topped that spectacular goal Friday. Burmistrov went one-on-one with Kris Letang down the wing and completely deked the veteran defenseman out of his skates. It would've been one the best moves of the season so far ... if he had actually shot the puck on net. Or even the glass. Or the rink.

Instead it seems the deke was so simultaneously powerful and graceful that the universe couldn't handle it and gravity was broken for a split second as the puck sailed out of play. (That's an unconfirmed rumor, but we trust our sources.) The puck sailed out of the rink, into the sky and landed in Russia, where this dashboard camera caught it reentering the atmosphere:
