NHL schedule and starting goalies for Sunday: Doubleheader on NBC

It's Hockey Day in America and NBC is featuring nine straight hours of hockey coverage on Sunday, starting with a big matchup between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Buffalo Sabres. The Penguins can snatch the top spot in the East with a win, while the Sabres hope to finally start building some consistency after a win on Friday night.

The focus will then shift to Chicago as the Blackhawks take on the Los Angeles Kings in a rematch of the season opener back on Jan. 19. The Kings have struggled in their defense of the Stanley Cup while Chicago has yet to lose a game in regulation this season.

NBC Sports Network will feature the New York Rangers hosting the Washington Capitals in a battle of two teams struggling to live up to lofty expectations. The big Eastern Conference matchup is set to start at 6 p.m. ET.
