Playing in just his second game this season after returning from off-season surgeries, Ryan Kesler isn't showing signs of rust.
The Vancouver Canucks powerplay worked the Blues PK like a machine, with crisp puck cycling that forced St. Louis to collapse down low. Daniel and Henrik Sedin used their preternatural twin powers to complete a beautiful passing play, and Kesler was perfectly in sync with the brothers, going exactly where he needed to in order to execute a perfect one timer.
Kesler had an assist in the previous game for Vancouver, which was his first game since having surgery on his shoulder and wrist in the off-season.
Henrik Sedin would add a goal of his own late in the first period, giving him two points in the first twenty minutes. The Canucks led the Blues 2-1 at the end of the first.
