There are three games scheduled in the NHL on Friday, with the headlining game coming between the Chicago Blackhawks and San Jose Sharks.
The Blackhawks are one point away from breaking the record for longest point streak to start an NHL regular season. They are currently tied with the 2006-07 Anaheim Ducks at 16 games and if they can win in regulation or force overtime, the record will be theirs.
In other action, the Pittsburgh Penguins will host the Florida Panthers and the Vancouver Canucks will challenge the Nashville Predators.
