He didn't lose Sunday night ... but he didn't play, either. Jonas Hiller got the start against the Avalanche for the Ducks, meaning Viktor Fasth starts Monday night against ... Jonathan Quick. Drivers (and Danica), start your punning!

3. Did Columbus even have a prayer of stopping the Blackhawks?

The injury-depleted Blue Jackets deserve credit for keeping it close with the Blackhawks. Columbus actually ended up out-shooting Chicago in the game, but a shutout from Corey Crawford gave Chicago a 1-0 victory and extended their unbeaten-in-regulation record to 18 games.

4. Can Detroit fully pull out the slump?

Wow! Yes they can! The Red Wings started off slow, and were trailing early, but came roaring back and beat Vancouver 8-3.

5. Are the New Jersey Devils falling into a slump?

It sure looks like it. After losing 5-1 to the Capitals on Saturday they dropped their Sunday game against Winnipeg by a score of 4-2. Martin Brodeur was supposed to start in goal, but left in warmups with a sore back. The Devils need him healthy if they are going to turn things around.
