The Philadelphia Flyers (3-6-0) will host the Tampa Bay Lightning (6-2-0) at Wells Fargo Center in NBC Sports Network's nationally televised game of the night on Tuesday.

It is the second of three meetings between the two teams this season and the second time they have met over the course of the last nine days.

In their first meeting, Tampa Bay managed to overcome an early Philadelphia lead to register five unanswered goals on the way to a 5-1 victory. The Flyers specialty team struggles were amplified in the contest as the club failed to capitalize on six power play opportunities and allowed the Lightning to convert on two of five man advantages.

With Philadelphia entering the night with the 24th ranked penalty kill in the league (73.8 percent success rate), Tampa Bay's No. 1 ranked power play (36.1 percent success rate) could once again have the team's special teams as the focus of the game.

However, the Flyers managed to pull their special teams together in a 5-3 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night. Converting successfully on all three of their power plays, the team also killed all but one of the Hurricanes' six man advantages.

Whether they can carry this effort over to Tuesday night could be key in the outcome.

In addition, Tuesday night will mark the return of former-Flyers defenseman Matt Carle to Philadelphia since signing a six-year, $33 million contract as an unrestricted free agent this offseason with Tampa Bay.

Carle was a polarizing figure in Philadelphia, as some fans took exception to the amount of turnovers he committed and the lack of an overtly physical style of play in the defensive zone. Regardless, new head coach Guy Boucher has praised the addition of Carle as a key to Tampa Bay's early season success.

Anders Lindback (5-1-0; .911 save percentage, 2.83 GAA) has already been confirmed as the starter for the Lightning and Ilya Bryzgalov (3-5-0; .920 save percentage, 2.40 GAA) is expected to make his first start of the year against the team (backup Michael Leighton played in the first meeting).

Tuesday night's game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., ET and will be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports Network, as well as TSN, RDS and CSN-Philadelphia.
