Brandon Dubinsky fights Mike Richards after boarding Rob Scuderi

Brandon Dubinsky fights Mike Richards for the 1 millionth time.

Mike Richards and Brandon Dubinsky do not like each other. They fight all the time, for all sorts of reasons. They've been fighting each other since they were both playing in the Atlantic division, and apparently they didn't leave their mutual dislike behind when they both moved west. For years now, they've been willing to fight each other at the drop of a hat ("You dropped my hat bro? I'LL KILL YOU!"). So when Dubinsky smashed Kings defenseman Rob Scuderi's face into the boards, it provided Richards with all the excuse he needed to have another go at his hated rival.

Penalties a plenty were handed out: Richards got five minutes for fighting, two for instigating, two for his visor, and a misconduct. Dubinsky got five for fighting, five for boarding, and a misconduct of his own. Rob Scuderi got some of his blood on the boards and the ice, but still played 22 minutes of the Kings' 4-2 victory.

Was Dubinsky's hit worthy of a suspension? We'll have to wait and see -- but at the risk of editorializing: yes, it totally was.
