Ducks vs. Stars third period recap: Loui Eriksson ends goal drought, finishes Ducks

It was his 15th career goal against Anaheim.

As we pointed out before the game, Loui Eriksson has been a pain in the Anaheim Ducks' side for years. So much so that Anaheim Calling's Jen Neale had this exchange with Defending Big D's Brad Gardner before tonight's game:

JN: Please lock Loui Eriksson in a closet for me on gameday. Mkay, thanks.

BG: No.

As it turned out, that was a pretty good choice by Brad. With 6:14 left in the game, Eriksson finished off the Ducks with a slick wrist shot from the circle that got past Viktor Fasth. It was just his third goal of the season and broke a four-game goal drought. You could see the monkey slide off his back as he looked to the heavens after scoring. The Stars have now won three in a row and four of their last five games.

For the Ducks, it's just their second loss of the season. Fasth finished the game when Jonas Hiller left after just one period with a lower body injury, but the injury reportedly isn't serious.
