Niklas Backstrom's spectacular stop sets up Wild OT win

Devin Setoguchi's first goal ended the game a few minutes later.

It's only fitting that a crazy night of hockey would feature a Wild win.

(That's right, I went there. No pun is off limits.)

The Wild took the Predators to overtime in Minnesota, but looked dead-to-rights in the middle of the extra frame when Sergei Kostitsyn slipped a Ryan Ellis pass toward goal and netminder Niklas Backstrom lost control of the puck beside the net after making the save. The Preds gained possession, swung it behind the net and back out front, catching Backstrom way out of position. But the veteran goalie stacked the pads and got his glove up to stop Ryan Ellis' shot from ending the game.

It was a huge save, obviously, as it gave the Wild a chance to finish the game at the other end. After an equally impressive save from Chris Mason, Devin Setoguchi scored his first goal of the year and sent the Wild home victorious.
