Harry How
A daily feature which asks the five hardest-hitting questions imaginable about this day in the NHL. Will our quandaries be answered? (That doesn't count as one of the five questions.)
1. Will the Los Angeles Kings complete the season sweep of the Calgary Flames?
Having already won both games this season, the Kings will look to complete the season sweep of the Flames on Monday night. The two teams previously played at Staples on Saturday night with the Kings winning, 6-2. Over the course of the previous meetings, Los Angeles has outscored Calgary, 9-3.
2. Will Trevor Lewis score the game-winning goal?
Weird player to pick? Nope. Lewis has recorded the game-winning goal in both games against the Flames this season. Over the course of those games, he only has two points, both of which proved to be the deciding tally. Can he make it three in a row on Monday?
3. Is Mike Richards dealing with any injury issues?
Richards sustained a heavy hit in the second period of Saturday's contest. After leaving the game, he ultimately returned. Of course, that doesn't mean he isn't dealing with a potential issue. Richards is a hard-nosed player who undoubtedly battles through pain. Will we see any residual-effects from the hit on Monday?
4. Will the Boston Bruins-Ottawa Senators game be a defensive struggle?
In their last meeting, the game was tied at one following regulation and required overtime for the Bruins to earn the 2-1 win. Entering competition on Monday night, the Senators (No. 1) and Bruins (No. 3) are both ranked in the top-three in goals allowed per game average. Will Monday to a battle of the defenses?
5. How will Guillaume Latendresse fare in his return to the lineup?
Latendresse has missed 18 games due to migraines and whiplash side effects. He is expected to return on Monday night as the winger on a line with Zack Smith and Daniel Alfredsson. How will he do in his return?
