Brandon Dubinsky injury: Blue Jackets forward to return Tuesday night

USA TODAY Sports

Brandon Dubinsky is expected to return on Tuesday night after missing 11 games due to an MCL sprain in his left knee.

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Brandon Dubinsky is expected to return to the lineup against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night, according to multiple reports following the team's morning skate.

Dubinsky was forced to miss 11 games due to an MCL sprain in his left knee. Originally sustained in the team's game against the Phoenix Coyotes on Feb. 16, the injury was projected to keep Dubinsky out of action for one-to-two weeks.

During morning skate, Dubinsky was seen taking line rushes with Matt Calvert and Cam Atkinson on the second line.

Dubinsky's return to the lineup comes at an optimal time for the surging Blue Jackets. Currently in the midst of a five-game winning streak, Columbus is one win shy of the franchise record for such a streak. In addition, the team has registered points in seven-consecutive games.

Entering the contest on Tuesday night, Dubinsky has compiled a goal and seven assists for eight points in 15 games.
