Senators vs. Canadiens: Lars Eller scores first and last goals of game

USA TODAY Sports

Lars Eller opened the scoring and won the shootout for Montreal.

Lars Eller's shootout goal was the game-winner, and was his second goal of the night. He also opened the scoring for the Canadiens, who held on against an Ottawa rally to win the game.

Eller beat Senators goalie Robin Lehner to take the victory, and if that goalie's name doesn't sound familiar to you at all then let it serve as a reminder of just how injury-plagued the Senators have been this season. They delivered an impressive effort in the game to come back to force overtime after being down 3-1.

Eller, who also managed seven shots on goal in the contest, was named the first star of the game. The Canadiens have now won four straight games.
