There were four games on the schedule for the NHL on St. Patrick's day, and all in all in was a good day to be watching hockey drunk. The Penguins beat the Bruins in a matchup of Eastern Conference powers, and elsewhere in the NHL teams battled for playoff positioning -- or just for a chance to inch closer to that final playoff spot.

Five Answers
Prior to last night's games, we presented five burning questions regarding the night's action. Here are your cool, soothing answers.
1. Will the Bruins get revenge for Tuesday?
Boston tried their best, edging Pittsburgh in terms of shots and scoring chances, but Penguins goalie Tomas Vokoun had a strong game and Pittsburgh won the game 2-1.
2. Will Sidney Crosby be held pointless?
Hah! Of course not. What a foolish question. Crosby had one of the two goals for the Penguins.
3. Now that Winnipeg leads the Southeast Division, can they gain ground?
The Jets responded to their new place on top of the Southeast by playing a lousy game against the Senators and losing 4-1. Maybe they aren't ready for primetime just yet.
4. Is there any chance for the winner of Sabres-Capitals to turn things around?
The Capitals aren't very good, but the Sabres are even worse. Washington won 5-3 and is now six points back of the final playoff spot with twenty games remaining.
5. Is tonight a must-win for Nashville?
They better hope not, because the Predators couldn't get it done Sunday night. Nashville fell 3-2 to the Oilers, and their playoff hopes grew just a bit dimmer.
Impact Moment
What moment from last night's games will be making headlines in the coming days?
Kris Letang's mysterious injury didn't keep the Penguins from winning on Sunday, but it will be hard to replace the highest-scoring defenseman in the NHL if he misses a significant amount of time.
Over on the Boston side of things, losing their team's second-leading scorer is a cause for concern for the Bruins. Fans will be hoping that David Krejci's knee injury turns out to be less serious than it looked.
Stat of the Night
After the Oilers scored the first goal of the game in their eventual 3-2 victory:
Preds are 10-0-5 when scoring first and 1-11-1 when the other guys score first. So that was kind of a big goal for the Oilers

- San Jose coach Todd McLellan yelled at his team at practice on Sunday.
- Why, exactly, did the Devils send Stefan Matteau down to the minors?
- Finally, in case you missed it, Nashville's Sergei Kostitsyn is a quitter.
