Flames vs. Stars: Curtis Glencross dumps Loui Eriksson into Calgary bench

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

At least Jay Bouwmeester was nice enough to help him.

Loui Eriksson has been quite active to start the Stars' game against the Flames on Monday night, but Curtis Glencross managed to slow him down quite a bit by dumping him into the Flames' bench.

A lot of times these bench-checks (or whatever you want to call them) happen very quickly. Not this one. Eriksson's journey to the bench was a gradual one, as he just rolled along the top of the boards before his momentum stopped, leaving his legs just dangling in the air. If Jay Bouwmeester hadn't helped right him, it's safe to assume Eriksson would have just balanced there for another few moments. Perhaps even the entire game.

Eriksson couldn't help but smile afterward. After all, we're all just having fun here, no?
