Flames vs. Stars: Jarome Iginla fights Cody Eakin

USA TODAY Sports

Iginla doesn't like the young Dallas Stars, apparently.

Whether Jarome Iginla doesn't like the Dallas Stars youngsters or vice versa, you can pretty much guarantee the Calgary Flames captain will get into some sort of scrap when the two teams collide these days.

Remember when Iginla fought Jamie Benn when Benn was just an NHL sophomore? It was one hell of a fight and it left Iginla bloodied. Well, for whatever reason, Iginla decided to take on another young Stars player on Monday night. Iginla and Stars rookie Cody Eakin dropped gloves after a faceoff and went at it in the first period. The tilt wasn't nearly as entertaining as Benn's fight, but Eakin did manage to land a hard right on Iginla's cheek.

Iginla might've won the fight, but his team is down 3-0 after a poor first period.
