NHL schedule: Five questions for Tuesday

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

A daily feature which asks the five hardest-hitting questions imaginable about this day in the NHL. Will our quandaries be answered? (That doesn't count as one of the five questions.)

1. Will the Pittsburgh Penguins extend their winning streak to 13 games?

Currently standing at 12, the Penguins have managed to win every game in March. The streak began with an overtime defeat of the Montreal Canadiens at the start of the month. Can the Canadiens put an end to the run?

2. Will Ray Emery remain undefeated this season?

In 12 appearances this season, Emery has collected a perfect 11-0-0 record on one of the NHL's best teams. Can he earn win No. 12 on Tuesday night against the Calgary Flames?

3. How will Tye McGinn fare in his return to the NHL?

Philadelphia Flyers forward Tye McGinn had an impressive run in the big league prior to fracturing his orbital bone in a fight with Mike Brown. Head coach Peter Laviolette praised McGinn this morning saying he has yet to have a bad day in the NHL and placed him on the top forward line with captain Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek.

4. How will Alexander Semin play on Tuesday night?

It will be interesting to see if Semin skates any slower now that he is weighed down by all those money bags he received on Monday night. All kidding aside, will the $35 million man do anything special to commemorate his new five-year contract with Carolina?

5. Will Cory Schneider continue his dominating run?

Over the course of the last four games, Schneider has compiled a 4-0-0 record with a 1.25 goals against average, .957 save percentage and a shutout. Will he continue this impressive run against the Columbus Blue Jackets?
