Petry paid dearly for this attempt.
So Wild center Mikael Granlund is pretty well known for his slick moves with the puck. Call him slippery, call him elusive, or whatever you like. It's well-established at this point that Granlund is pretty talented when the puck is on his stick.
Well, turns out he's pretty hard to stop without the puck too. Jeff Petry learned this the hard way when he tried to catch the Wild rookie with a big hit as he skated out from behind the net. Instead, Granlund merely sidestepped him, and Petry went tumbling to the ice.
I'm pretty sure that the phrase "good job, good effort" applies here.
