Oilers vs. Canucks: Oilers score three in the first three minutes

Derek Leung

A bad start for Cory Schneider and Roberto Luongo.

Perhaps the Canucks should trade both goalies?

Kidding, of course. But the first three minutes of Saturday's game against the Oilers has to go down as one of the most forgettable few minutes of Canucks goaltending in franchise history.

Taylor Hall took a shot sixteen seconds into the game. He scored.

Ladislav Smid took another shot two minutes later. He scored.

That was it for Cory Schneider. We hardly knew ye. Roberto Luongo took his place.

38 seconds later, Taylor Hall took another shot. He scored again.

Three shots. Three goals. 2:43 into the first period.

As you might imagine, it was the fastest three goals in the Edmonton Oilers' history. Oh, and Taylor Hall completed the hat trick just a few minutes later.

Maybe the Canucks should be in the market for a goaltender.
