Leafs vs. Devils: Nazem Kadri scores fluky goal on Johan Hedberg

This after a dazzling hat trick game recently.

Remember how Nazem Kadri registered a hat trick recently? Remember how absolutely gorgeous those three goals were? Yeah, his latest goal didn't require nearly that much skill to pull off.

I'm still not sure if Kadri was trying to pass the puck here or attempt a shot from a really awkward angle. Either way, Johan Hedberg wasn't quite prepared for it. The veteran Devils netminder left his pads open just a tad too late to keep Kadri's puck slide (that's what I'm going to call it) from trickling between his legs and into the net.

It wasn't pretty, but Kadri and the Leafs will gladly take the 1-0 lead in the first period.
