Welcome back, Geno.
If you hadn't heard by now, Evgeni Malkin returned to the Pittsburgh Penguins' lineup on Monday night after missing a few games due to injury. If this game is any indication, he's not feeling much rust.
Malkin tied the game at 2-2 in the third period with this absolutely sick move, handling the puck past a diving Eric Brewer and an outstretched Matt Carle before slipping it by Anders Lindback. It was a vintage Evgeni Malkin goal and it immediately sparked the entire building. Sidney Crosby broke the tie minutes later with a slapshot from the circle, and the Penguins have suddenly roared past the Lightning to a 3-2 lead in the third.
