There are only four games scheduled in the NHL on Wednesday night, with the headlining event coming between the Chicago Blackhawks and Colorado Avalanche.
Chicago still hasn't registered a loss in regulation and is making a push for the all-time record for most consecutive games with a point. Currently at 29 games, the Blackhawks are chasing the 1979-80 Philadelphia Flyers, who went 35 games without a loss.
In addition, Calgary Flames goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff will return to the goal crease after missing 13 games due to a knee sprain, while Ben Bishop will face James Reimer in the battle of Ontario. The Phoenix Coyotes and Anaheim Ducks will close out the night with their third consecutive game against one another.
