Patrick Sharp injury: Blackhawks dropping like flies

Bad luck is finally paying a visit to the Chicago Blackhawks.

In a game in which the Blackhawks were already without Michael Frolik (day-to-day with the flu), Marian Hossa (scratched with an upper-body injury just before game time), and Andrew Shaw (injured during the game and missing for the entire third period), they will now may have to endure without the services of another one of their offensive stars. Patrick Sharp left the game in the third period holding his left arm after being pinned up against the boards on an innocuous-looking play.

It wasn't clear exactly what the injury was, but Sharp went right to the dressing room and looked to be in a great deal of pain. Sharp has been having some trouble scoring goals recently, but he's still a major piece of the Chicago lineup, and an injury to his arm or shoulder will be a big blow to the team.
