The Penguins might've just won a shootout in Toronto, but news just came down that should make Pens fans more than a little nervous.
Bylsma said Malkin was held out of OT as a precaution after hit by van Riemsdyk -- but did mention "upper body injury." #Penguins— Shelly Anderson (@pgshelly) March 9, 2013
Malkin recently returned from another upper body injury that cost him a few games. The Penguins forward went on IR for a concussion in late February and only recently returned to the ice full time. The words "precaution" and "upper body injury" seem to indicate that he might be suffering from similar symptoms, but that's just purely speculation on my part.
We'll keep you updated if the Penguins release any specific information on his injury.
