NHL schedule and starting goalies: Western Conference heavy Monday night

There are nine games in the NHL on Monday night. Here's a breakdown of the schedule complete with starting goaltending match-ups.

There are nine games scheduled in the NHL on Monday night, with six games in the Western Conference and three games in the East.

The New Jersey Devils will quick off the night by hosting the New York Islanders in an Atlantic Division showdown, while the New York Rangers host the Winnipeg Jets at Madison Square Garden. The final Eastern Conference game of the evening will pit the Montreal Canadiens against the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Western portion of the schedule will begin at 7:30, p.m., ET when the Detroit Red Wings host the Colorado Avalanche. The Chicago Blackhawks will also be in action when they host the Nashville Predators, while the Anaheim Ducks challenge the Dallas Stars.

The night's final game will be played by the Vancouver Canucks and San Jose Sharks.
