NHL schedule: Five questions for Friday

USA TODAY Sports

A daily feature which asks the five hardest-hitting questions imaginable about this day in the NHL. Will our quandaries be answered? (That doesn't count as one of the five questions.)

1. Will the Minnesota Wild clinch a playoff berth on Friday night?

Win and they're in. Two spots remain in the Western Conference and Minnesota will have two shots at clinching one of them.

2. Will the Edmonton Oilers score more than one goal against the Wild?

In their last three games, the Oilers have scored one goal or less in each contest. Surprisingly, they've lost all three games. Edmonton is 1-9-0 in their last ten and have two games remaining this season.

3. Will the Calgary Flames lose a third straight game?

Despite a 6-4-0 record in their last 10, the Flames have dropped two straight. On Friday, they'll challenge the Presidents' Trophy-winning Chicago Blackhawks.

4. Will the Phoenix Coyotes complete a season sweep of the Colorado Avalanche?

Phoenix recorded the win in their two previous meetings. If the Coyotes complete the sweep, it will be their only one of the season.

5. Will the Buffalo crowd produce any kind of reaction towards Ryan Miller?

Some are speculating that Friday's game could be Miller's final as a Sabre. With that in mind, will the crowd make any kind of attempt to acknowledge this possibility? Cheers? Jeers? Tears?
