Penguins vs. Islanders schedule: Atlantic rivals kick off playoff series Wednesday

The Penguins and Islanders kick off their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series on Wednesday, May 1 in Pittsburgh.

The Atlantic Division is officially dead at the conclusion of this NHL season, but the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Islanders hope to give it a fun send-off during their Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series in these 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The No. 1-seeded Penguins, certainly favorites to come out of the East, will host on the No. 8-seeded Islanders, who are in the postseason for the first time since 2007, in the best-of-seven series beginning Wed., May 1.
