Jackman had some breathing issues for a minute or so.
Barret Jackman escaped what could've been an ugly injury situation in the first period Saturday when the Kings' Jeff Carter cross-checked him in the throat.
The Blues defenseman was trying to go in for a hit along the boards, and Carter decided to defend himself with his stick.
Ouch. Jackman dropped to one knee and called a trainer over, motioning that he was having trouble breathing. Luckily he skated off to the bench and seemed to recover, but not before throwing the refs a dirty look for missing the call.
