By New York state law, Nassau Coliseum concessionaires could not begin serving alcohol until noon for Sunday's Game 3 between the New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins. But that did not keep fans from imbibing during tailgates on the Coliseum's vast parking lot.
The tailgates were widespread and reportedly peaceful -- perhaps because the Karate Kid Ralph Macchio was on the premises and could take care of any stray Cobra Kai who might make a ruckus.
Still, the head start on a Sunday afternoon may have been too much fun for some fans.
Video posted to YouTube by user JMEJJP shows some Penguins fans being ejected by building security after apparently falling on the row in front of them:
Too much alcohol? Just a case of vertigo? Or playoff fever gone overboard?
The guy missed a great game, too: His Penguins won in overtime on Chris Kunitz's power play winner.
