There were playoff games all day long on Sunday. Here are the GIFs you might have missed.

It was a busy Sunday of action in the NHL, with the early games both ending in overtime. The Pittsburgh Penguins gave up a lead late and had to beat the Islanders in OT, 5-4. The Minnesota Wild scored a gutsy OT win over the mighty Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2.

Later in the day, the Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators went from physical to borderline-psychotic, as the third period turned into a fight-fest. Ottawa would win the game handily, 6-1.

In the night's final playoff match-up, the Vancouver Canucks melted down in the third period against the San Jose Sharks and the Sharks took a 3-0 series lead with their 5-2 victory.

To the GIFs!

In Sunday's first game, the New York Islanders looked to take an improbably series lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Early in the contest, Matt Cooke and Matt Carkner did some weird stuff:

Late in the first period, Sidney Crosby found Pascal Dupuis for the tip-in goal to put the Penguins up 3-2:

In the third, Kyle Okposo made it happen on a shorthanded breakaway:

And after the Islanders battled back to tie it late, Kunitz won it for the Penguins in OT:

Over in Minnesota, the score was tied at the end of the first period after Pierre-Marc Bouchard scored on this amazing backhander. Watch closely:

Both goalies were strong in this low-scoring game. Here's Corey Crawford shutting the door on Torrey Mitchell:

The Wild took the lead in the third with Zach Parise's backhander:

And after Chicago tied the game, Jason Zucker would win it for the Wild in OT:

As the series between the Canadiens and Senators moved to Ottawa, the game was physical early:

Ottawa rookie Jean-Gabriel Pageau paid the price to score this goal:

...and that price was a tooth he lost on a high-stick from P.K. Subban.

Another goal for Pageau in the third period kicked off a rout for the Senators, and the game degenerated into a massive brawl:

In the middle of all the fighting, Rene Bourque took the opportunity to deliver a nasty elbow:

And Pageau would score a third time for the hat-trick.

The San Jose Sharks took a 2-0 lead in their game against the Vancouver Canucks after two tip-in goals from Joe Pavelski:

The Canucks would cut the lead in half with Alexandre Burrow's first goal of the postseason:

The game fell apart for the Canucks in the third period, as the Sharks scored three times in under three minutes to chase Cory Schneider out of the net and take a 5-1 lead:

The Canucks would get a goal late, but it didn't matter in the end. The Sharks won the game 5-2 and have a chance to complete the sweep on Tuesday.
