Kings vs. Blues Game 4 update: Kings roar back to tie game after one period

USA TODAY Sports

St. Louis took an early lead, but Los Angeles stormed back to tie it at 2-2.

So far, game four between the Kings and Blues hasn't resembled the kind of brutal physicality we've come to expect in this series. Instead, the action has been more end-to-end. It looks like both teams are more than up for that style of hockey, as the Blues are tied with Los Angeles at 2-2 after one period.

David Backes capitalized on an over-aggressive play by Jonathan Quick just 1:12 into the frame. Quick came out of his net to make a save and gave up a juicy rebound to Backes, who potted it into an empty net. St. Louis scored again a few minutes later when Kevin Shattenkirk's shot from the point was deflected past Quick by T.J. Oshie.

So, not a good start for Los Angeles. But then they roared back with sweet goals like this:

And now we're all tied at two. This series never disappoints, does it?
