The Chicago Blackhawks expanded their lead to 3-0 in Game 5 before the Minnesota Wild signaled they might mount a comeback. That comeback lasted 37 seconds before Chicago scored again to end the second period with a 4-1 lead.
Josh Harding started this game for Minnesota after leaving Game 4 with an injury, but it's possible the Wild will regret that decision. He looked off on two of the goals and was pulled for Darcy Kuemper after Hossa made it 3-0:
That rather soft goal came after an even worse one, a too easy wraparound by Kruger:
Kuemper relieved Harding and stopped four of five shots. But his goaltending almost doesn't matter at this point. To keep their season alive, the Wild will need a massive comeback in the third period.
