Penguins vs. Bruins Game 3 update: Kunitz scores to tie the game

Jared Wickerham

The Penguins played their best period of the series so far in the 2nd, and finished the opening 40 minutes tied with the Bruins, 1-1.

The Penguins had multiple shots and several golden scoring opportunities on the power play in the second period, but Tuukka Rask stood strong and kept them scoreless through three separate chances with the man advantage. Rask couldn't keep it up all night, though, and Pittsburgh finally managed to even the score midway through the game, after a clean face-off win for Sidney Crosby led to a Chris Kunitz goal:

The Bruins might be without the services of Gregory Campbell for a while, after he blocked a shot from Evgeni Malkin on the penalty kill. Campbell stayed out on the kill in obvious pain before heading to the dressing room. He didn't return in the period.

The Penguins led in shots, 25-21, at the second intermission.
