The incident occurred on July 3, which resulted in Stoll being treated at the Little Company of Mary Hospital before being released on the same day. Stoll received care from doctors in Los Angeles and Seattle, yet they could find no explanation for the cause of the seizure, via the Los Angeles Times:
"I wish I have a little bit of an explanation," Stoll said Wednesday. "Nothing really. Even with the concussion in the playoffs, I thought maybe those were connected. But they weren't. That's the good news, I guess."
Stoll sustained a concussion in the Western Conference Semifinal when San Jose Sharks forward Raffi Torres connected with a punishing hit in the Kings defensive zone. Stoll missed six games before returning in the Western Conference Final, while Torres was suspended for the duration of the playoffs.
The good news is Stoll describes himself as "100 percent" and feels healthy for the 2013-14 season.
