Winter Classic 2014: Jimmy Howard robs Nazem Kadri

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Jimmy Howard hasn't had to make many saves so far at the Winter Classic, but he did have to make this beauty of a toe save on Nazem Kadri.

Thanks to the combination of the snow piling up on the ice and the Maple Leafs struggles to generate anything that resembles offense, Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard hasn't been asked to do much during the Winter Classic on Wednesday.

That was until Nazem Kadri had a great opportunity in front of the net midway through the second period. Fortunately for the Red Wings, Howard was up to the challenge made what has been -- so far -- the best save of the day.
