Team Canada coach Mike Babcock already announced on Tuesday that he will be going with Carey Price in net.

What we did not know was how the constantly changing forward lines and defensive pairings would look in the quarterfinals against Latvia. Just hours before the puck drops, Canada announced that it will be Matt Duchene and P.K. Subban sitting out, while Martin St. Louis and Dan Hamhuis remain in the lineup.

Based on the lines used in practice on Tuesday, Canada will be trying its fourth different combination on the top line alongside team captain Sidney Crosby, reuniting him with Chris Kunitz, his longtime linemate in Pittsburgh, along with Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron.

That combination gives him the type of north-south winger he seems to prefer to play with (Kunitz) and one of the best two-way players in the world (Bergeron) to handle a lot of the defensive responsibilities. Crosby hasn't put up huge numbers thus far in the tournament, recording just two assists.

While he has received the bulk of the attention, it's been a team-wide problem for the Canadians when it comes to the forwards, as they have received just five goals from forwards in the entire tournament, while three of those goals came from Jeff Carter in one game. Most of Canada's offense in the tournament has come from the defense and the likes of Drew Doughty and Shea Weber.

As for the rest of Canada's lines from practice on Tuesday, Jamie Benn was with Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry, Patrick Marleau was with Jonathan Toews and Jeff Carter, while Patrick Sharp was with John Tavares and Rick Nash.
