Hockey is a fast game and sometimes referees miss things. It happens. I get it.
But Tanner Glass getting a five-minute major and a game misconduct for "elbowing" Alexei Emelin on this play is a pretty brutal call.
Glass hits Emelin, but his elbow appears to be down at the moment of contact. The impact that Emelin's face takes seems to come from his own hands/stick.
A coaches challenge or review sure would come in handy for situations like this.
Montreal scored on the ensuing power play, sending the game to overtime and giving the Canadiens an important point in the standings.
